COVID-19 Official Update
30th March 2020
We’re now into our second week of offering our services remotely and the uptake has been incredible. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients for their support and understanding whilst we adapt our ways of working in line with Government guidance.
Some of our teams are continuing to work remotely and those based in our offices are adhering to social distancing guidelines.
We appreciate that you may feel anxious or upset during this unprecedented pandemic which is why we are prioritising any services that we can offer to you remotely. Our Wills & Probate team are offering 10% discount off any new will or Lasting Power of Attorney instructions.
Keep in touch on 0800 160 10 10.

26th March 2020
We are continuing to work as ‘normally’ as possible during these challenging times.
A number of our team are now working from home and during this time it may take them longer than usual to respond to your telephone call or emails. Working from home is unfamiliar for some of our team so we do ask for your support and understanding at this time whilst people adapt to life working remotely.
You can continue to contact us on 01609 780717 or by emailing info@coles-law.co.uk
We are still here to help our wonderful clients, both new and old!
25th March 2020
We continue to follow the guidance published by the Government and Public Health England.
We are still open for business and committed to providing a high level of customer service to our clients. If you are an existing customer, we would ask, where possible, that you communicate with us via email.
For new clients, we would ask you to call us on 01609 780717 to discuss how we can help you.
We remain committed to protecting our employees, clients and the wider community and at this time our offices remain closed to the general public. We are reviewing this on a daily basis.
Today and over the coming days we are supporting some of our staff in working from home. Our IT department are working hard to ensure that our team has access to everything they need in order to be able to provide the same level of services you would expect from our offices.
Once again, we thank you for your continued support during these challenging times.
24th March 2020
Following the announcement by the Government last night we can now confirm that all of our offices are closed to clients. Over the last few days we have taken steps to minimise face-to-face contact with our clients, but following guidance from the Government we strongly believe that the health of our employees, clients and the wider community is paramount, thus influencing our decision.
We must continue to stress that although our offices are now closed, we are still very much open for business.
Over the coming hours and days we are taking active steps to allow some of our teams to work from home. We hope you understand that this will not be possible for all staff due to the nature of the services we offer. Until such time our teams will be in our offices, adhering to hygiene and social distancing rules.
We would like to thank all of our clients for their support and understanding at this difficult time.
If you have an ongoing matter with Coles, please use the email address of your Solicitor or Assistant to communicate. If you don’t currently have this please call 01609 780717 where we will happily give you this information.
The advice and guidance from the Government is changing daily and we will continue to update all clients on a daily basis.
We are still open for business, albeit finding new ways of working! Thank you!
23rd March 2020
The health of our employees, clients and the wider community remains our priority and we are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation and the Government guidance for businesses.
At this time and until further notice, our offices remain open and our dedicated teams are on hand to help.
If you are an existing customer then please be rest assured that we are continuing to deal with your matter and should we need to get in touch with you we will do this via email and telephone. We ask that you respect our decision to postpone any face to face meetings.
If you are a new customer and need some legal advice, we are still able to help! Although we may need to do things differently to how we would normally conduct business, you are still important to us! Please contact our office on 0800 160 10 10 or click here to find your local office.
We appreciate these are challenging times and something that, as a business, we haven’t faced before. We are doing our utmost to continue offering our legal services to the best of our ability, but we also appreciate this may be subject to change in the near future.
To keep you up to date on things at Coles, we will provide a daily update here, on our website.
18th March 2020
At Coles Solicitors the health of our clients and staff is of paramount importance. In view of Government advice regarding social distancing and as much non-contact as possible, in common with other firms, we aim to conduct business at a distance as far as possible. If you have a legal requirement, please feel free to contact us either by phone or email. We will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible – we are open as usual.
If you currently have an existing matter with us, rest assured that we are working on it, but please email us if you have any questions or concerns. As with most firms some of our staff will inevitably be working from home but are in constant touch with the office.
If you have an appointment booked in with us up until 20th April, we will contact you to arrange a telephone appointment if appropriate or offer you an alternative appointment in the future. To comply with the government’s policy on social distancing we would ask that you don’t come into our offices at this time.
If it is absolutely necessary to visit our office, please telephone beforehand in order to discuss distancing procedures.
We know that you may be anxious and nervous at this time but please rest assured that our amazing teams are doing all they can to keep things moving as ‘normal’ as possible. Please support and understand the decisions we are having to make as a result of government decisions. If we can help you in any way, we will and together with you, our valued clients, we will brave the storm.
We appreciate your business and understanding at this challenging time.
